SPRING BENEFIT – APRIL 28, 2014
Our annual Spring Benefit has been enjoyed by members and their friends for many years.  Part of the fun is bidding on the Silent Auction items.
This year there will be a variety of theme baskets and restaurant gift cards to increase the competition.
The White Elephant – think Flea Market – will engage you as you decide to try a “new” piece of jewelry or article to update an outfit or to give to a friend.
Donations to either of these are still welcome.  Call Aloha for the Silent Auction or Carol Stawski for White Elephant. Now, fill out the reservation form on Page 3 and send it with a check to Kay Bingeman.

BOOK GROUP
On April 25, 2014 we shall meet at the home of Doris Tazalaar.  Jon Meacham’s Thomas Jefferson will be our topic for the day.
This is an informal group – we socialize and discuss our feelings about the books we have read.
If you would like to join us, please call Doris.
A light luncheon is always served.

INTEREST GROUPS:  We have added two new interest groups – OPERA AT THE MOVIES, meeting members at the AMC for the MET HD performances.  Call Aloha Holloway.  To join the LUNCH OUT GROUP, call Mary Laity.

OPERA SCHEDULE:
April 5 – La Boheme – Puccini
April 26 – Cosi fan Tutti – Mozart
May 10 – La Cenerentola – Rossini

McCAFFERY’S RECEIPTS
Members and their friends can help us increase our Scholarship Fund by collecting your McCafferys’ receipts and giving them to us.  As part of McCaffrey’s contribution program to non-profit organizations such as ours, the store will donate 1% of the total of all eligible cash register receipts.  No additional discount can be applied, so if you have used another discount, such as Senior Tuesday, the receipt is ineligible. Milk, sushi, and cigarettes also do not apply.
Look for our collection basket at the next meeting for deposit of your receipts.
You may also send or give your slips to Beverly Kestenis.  Please feel free to call her at 609-924-9703 if you have further questions about this program.
