General Meeting – Tom Colao, featured speaker

Monday, October 20, 2014 – Tom Colao, Director of Music at All Saints Church and associate conductor of the Westfield Chorus, was our featured speaker.
Tom recounted the many experiences the choir enjoyed when 20 members were invited to present a performance in the Sistine Chapel at the Vatican last February. They were joined by members of the Continuo Arts Symphonic Chorus of Westfield. At the Sistine Chapel the choir performed choral and solo numbers for an audience which included Pope Francis. They also performed in Assisi, Italy, and in Dublin and Limerick, Ireland. Mr. Colao studied at the Mannes College of Music in Manhattan and the Westminster Choir College, majoring in conducting, vocal performance, and organ.
