PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE:
The board and I are looking forward to seeing you all at our first meeting of this celebratory year. Our program chairs, Barbara Johnson and Janet Reiche, are starting us off with Eva Mandel and a bit of history. We hope you will stay a bit after the meeting to hear more about our April celebration of 100 years of helping young women from the Princeton schools attend college and where you might help.
And once again, our member Josephine Ondetti is hostessing our September 30th New Member Tea. Josephine offers us this wonderful chance to meet our new members. It is always a gracious and welcoming event. Thanks to Lorraine Haucke for her work on this event.

Princeton: Yesterday and Today. Are we ready for the next Princeton?
- Robert Hillier (Bob) will stimulate our thinking as he covers the last seventy years of architectural perspectives in Princeton. Moving from today to tomorrow, he will discuss what is happening to real estate and the resultant architecture in our area. Always engaging and entertaining, Bob’s talk will alert us to our changing community.
His architecture firm, Studio Hillier, was founded in 2011 with the belief that “architecture performs as both an index and path for advancing society and human history”. It is internationally recognized and its architects have received many awards. Bob is well known to us, as he funds a scholarship in honor of our long-time member, his mother, Florence Hillier.
Guests are always welcome. Following the program, members and guests enjoy a time of fellowship and refreshments.

On Wednesday, September 30 at 3:00 p.m., Josephine Ondetti will host a tea for new members in the Women’s College Club of Princeton. Everyone is welcome and it is a special way to get to know our new friends. If you need directions, call.
McCAFFREYS RECEIPTS:
Members and their friends can help us increase our Scholarship Fund by collecting your McCaffrey’s register receipts and giving them to us. The store will donate 1% of the total of all eligible cash register receipts. No additional discount can be applied, so if you have used another discount such as Senior Tuesday, the receipt is ineligible. Milk, sushi, and cigarettes also do not apply.
At each general meeting, look for our collection basket for deposit of your receipts.

OPERA GROUP:
Aloha Holloway organizes groups for the MET/HD Saturday afternoon opera programs this year at the Hamilton AMC.

LUNCHING OUT GROUP: Mary Laity will be sending out notices of future luncheon dates and places. Watch for the next email from Mary.
BOOK GROUP:
October 30 is the date for our next meeting. Under discussion will be a Mrs. de Winter by Susan Hill. Our hostess will be Aloha Holloway and should be called if you will be with us. Meetings now begin at 12:00 noon. A light lunch will be served.
BOARD MEETING:
The next board meeting will be Tuesday, October 6, 2015, at the home of Carol Stawski. Please call if you will be unable to join us.

Bonnie Larson will send cards to members who are ill or who have lost a family member.

SYMPATHY:
Our hearts go out to Kathy Hutchins, whose brother died this summer, leaving a family with two children.
Our new vice president, Meg Chisholm, died suddenly August 25 of a stroke, and we extend condolences to her family. Danuta Buzdygan has graciously agreed to complete her term of office as vice president.
