Monday, September 16, 2019 THE PUBLIC LIBRARY: YESTERDAY, TODAY and TOMORROW
Jim Hecht is a Library Consultant who is presently serving as the interim Library Director and providing guidance to the library board of the Princeton Public Library as it goes through the search process for a new librarian. Jim wove some of his experiences that go back to 1973 with today’s public libraries, (including Princeton’s Public Library, of course) and gave some thoughts about the public library of the future. Jim, a certified Professional Librarian, who has BA in History, and a MLS in Library and Informational Science from the University of Pittsburgh is a certified Professional Librarian with extensive experience with these duties and strategic planning with many libraries in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
