Are we not fortunate to be able to greet each other again!
The Chairwomen who serve our Women’s College Club of Princeton are noted in other places in our literature.
Let’s thank them for their zeal. Carol Stawski, Marjorie Steinberg, Nancy Lifland, Barbara Johnson, Janet Reiche, Carol Wisniewski, Aloha Holloway, Lynda Woods Cleary, Mary Laity, Janet Young, Janet Lorrain, Danuta Buzdygan-Stys, Beverly Kestenis, Helen Ju, and Carolyn Massad, please accept our gratitude.
On October 21 we shall meet at 1:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary of All Saints. Pianist and composer Tony Sala will be our guest. He was born in Cuba and began piano lessons at age 6. “My music-loving family inspired a passion within me from the earliest years to today,” he says. Consistently placing first among his peers during formal competitions, Mr. Sala ultimately completed piano studies at age 17 at the Peyrellade Conservatory in Havana. In 1958 he graduated from Villanova University’s branch in Havana with a B.S. in accounting. In 1961 Mr. Sala left Cuba and settled in Philadelphia, where he embarked on a successful career in accounting and finance spanning over forty years. In 1986 he volunteered his talents to the members of the St. Mary of the Lakes Church Community in Medford, NJ, serving as organist to This day. After retiring in 2003 from full-time professional life in accounting and finance, Mr. Sala embraced his passion for delivering inspiring live performances on a full-time basis.
On October 25 we shall meet at 1:00 p.m. at the home of Sue Bishop. The Shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz-Fason will be the selection under discussion. If you are able to attend, please call Sue. A light luncheon will be served.
November/December’s book will be City of the Beasts by Isabel Allende, the most widely-read Spanish language author.

HELP THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND:
An easy way to make a contribution to the WCCP Scholarship Fund is by collecting McCaffrey’s register receipts. If you (or your friends and neighbors) have not used a discount such as Senior Tuesday for your purchases, please save your receipts for us. At each general meeting there will be a collection basket for the deposit of your receipts, or you can send them to Beverly Kestenis. Questions? Call Beverly.
