The Women’s College Club of Princeton Newsletter
December 2019
President’s Message
I filled in for our traveling hospitality Chair for the November 18th General Meeting. I am so impressed by how many women are so willing to bring food and to help set up and to clean up after the meeting. Over time I have tasted great food, and let’s face it, too much of it. I remember clearly Mary Lincoln’s wonderful Christmas punches with berries in the frozen ice ring, Barbara Johnson’s deviled eggs, and of late Marlene Gordon has brought a great chocolate confection. I try to get to the table late so I am not caught eating three things at once.
Last year Mary Reiling brought a banana cake in a wonderful cake carrying container, despite the fact that she could not attend the meeting. For whatever reason it wasn’t put out and was placed in the freezer for the next meeting. I worried that the container would disappear so I came back, retrieved the cake/container and brought it home to my freezer. The cake never made the freezer. It was and still is one of the great gastronomic experiences of my life. If Mary brings one this year, make sure you get a piece. I hope she forgives me. Bonnie Larson, Helen Ju, and I think it’s time to include recipes in the newsletter. I hope you agree and I hope Mary will share her recipe.
And thanks so much to all of you who take the time to share your efforts with us all and who get the goodies to the table and clean up after. Our meetings are so much richer because of you all.

GENERAL MEETING
Monday December 16, 1:00 p.m.
All Saints Episcopal Church
Home for the Holidays
John Calkins Villemaire is a versatile vocal performer who has spent much of his time entertaining audiences, lecturing, teaching students and performing with professional opera companies. He is a Carnegie Hall soloist and has received many accolades for his performances from Opera News. His repertoire ranges from classical to musical theatre.
Mr Calkins, as he is known, provides musical programs with themes. For our December meeting, he will lecture on the holiday music and entertain us with songs appropriate for the season. His tenor voice will fill the Chapel at All Saints as will ours as we “sing along” with our favorites. Plan to join us and bring guests for this popular program.

Besides recipes, there are many household tips and computer tricks that you might have and want to share. This is your newsletter and we would like to make it one where we have input from our members. If you have any tips that you think our members would appreciate, please send them to Bonnie.
