September 2014
_________________________________________
Our first general meeting of the year will take place on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at All Saints Church, Princeton.
Dr. R. Barbara Gitenstein, president of the College of New Jersey, will be our featured speaker at this opening fall meeting.
Her topic, “Contemporary Challenges for Quality Higher Education in America” is a most timely one as we reflect on the programs and courses offered today at our colleges and universities. Dr. Gitenstein is the first woman to serve as the president of TCNJ and brings to it her unique background of thirty years as both a professor and an administrator. Her focus has been on delivering the highest caliber academic experience to the undergraduate and graduate student body of almost 7,000, as well as seeking and finding sources of funding for the physical plant which now totals more than $450 million! As a result, TCNJ is recognized as a highly-ranked and highly-selective institution. Dr. Gitenstein’s background includes a BA with honors in English from Duke and a PhD in English and American Literature from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
Invite your friends to join us as we learn about the current trends in education from this most experienced academician.
The 2014-2015 Board of WCCP will meet on Tuesday, September 9, 2014. Come a little early for a cup of coffee or tea and an opportunity to chat with members about your summer experiences so that we can begin promptly at 10:00. Please call Carol if you cannot be there.

Aloha Holloway will be taking reservations for the MetHD series at the AMC theater in Hamilton this coming year.
