PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
Well, with this early snowfall, I am trapped inside here with one fat dog and two fat cats. Lots of time to ponder. I think of the wonderful, rich, meaningful life lived by Rita Ludlum, our member who died November 4th. I had no idea how many organizations benefited from her energy and vision – the League of Women Voters, St. Paul’s parish, the Princeton Adult School, and the list goes on. And always that bright smile when she came into the meeting room at All Saints Church with the Stonebridge bus group.
I think of the wonderful Marge White – trying to keep up with her walking to Richardson Auditorium and trying to be the person she wanted me to be. And the singular Jane Coda and Ruth Woodward. So let’s now celebrate our very much present wonderful veterans, Frieda Gilvarg, Gerry Bowers, Barbara Broad, and Mary Frances Stahler – vibrant, funny, energetic women who served their country and this club and still do. They deserve more than a salute, but we should send them one anyway. Look on our website where they are going to be celebrated.

WHITE CHRISTMAS
Our Holiday Program will feature Emily Skilling and Tyler Weakland, both alumni of Westminster Choir College. The program will feature classical music, carols, popular tunes, and a “Head-Banging” organ selection. Both young artists have quickly acquired extensive credentials since graduating in 2017 (Emily) and 2016 (Tyler).
Emily Skilling has a Bachelor Degree in Voice Performance from the University of Georgia and a Master Degree in Voice Pedagogy and Performance from Westminster Choir College. She is a winner of the Metropolitan Opera National Council auditions, has sung several leading opera roles with Westminster Opera Theater, and is a regular concert soloist around the USA. She is also a voice and piano teacher in the Princeton area.
Tyler Weakland has a Sacred Music Degree with an emphasis in Piano from Westminster Choir College. He recently made his Lincoln Center and David Geffen Hall debuts as a choral accompanist. He has conducted choirs in Vienna and Oxford as part of the Choral Music Institute and he has had several residencies at the Spoleto Festival and was a member of the Spoleto Festival Orchestra. Tyler has worked closely with the Metropolitan Opera language coach and is currently serving as Minister of Music for St. Paul Lutheran Church in West Windsor, NJ.
As always, guests are welcome.

On November 12, Kathy Hutchins, Theresa Conrad, Marlene Gordon, Lorraine Haucke, Janet Young, and guest Irina Danetz, gathered at Janet’s home and experienced an enjoyable time and delicious food and beverages…especially the organic ice cream. Yummy!

Maybe Trixie, Mr. T, and Sparkle will be in their holiday outfits. Let’s come and see!!!
